University of Birmingham

The University of Birmingham wanted to significantly improve the student print and copy facilities in their main library. They sought to reduce their maintenance and print-associated consumable costs, increase security and maintain ease of use.

To accurately monitor all print and phocopy output, the University wanted more in-depth management reports on all activity. Another objective was the need to network all of the printing and copying facilities. These facilities could then be integrated with the University's existing student ID smart cards and magnetic stripe cards. This would, in turn, improve efficiency, add value to the University's ID card and keep costs to a minimum.

"We enjoy a healthy relationship with ICS. We've received excellent customer support in maintaining our printer and photocopier monitoring equipment. We have seen our paper output and costs reduced since the terminals were installed."Will Cooper
